Oltrepò Pavese Malvasia DOC Piume Obtained from malvasia grapes. Malvasia can be found everywhere in Italy, and, depending on the region, takes many different shapes: the very strong dessert malvasia of Sicily, or a sparkling malvasia (sweet or dry), and even a red one. Ours is again a still dry white wine, but effusively aromatic, strongly remainding the flavour and fragrance of the grapes. A brilliant hay coloured yellow, it has a distinguished enveloping nose; taste is winning and extremely characteristic. Due to a unique personality, "Piume" requires a certain care with matching; though obviously dependent on the individual choice, is better to focus on foods that tend to complement its natural aroma, without being prevailed upon. A nice combination can be with fresh goat cheeses. However, "Piume" can be consumed as an aperitif or far from meals, to underline joyous occasions or pensive moments. Serving suggestion: 11°-12°C. temperature. "Piume" means "feathers" and on the label you can find some of Martilde's poultry. | |
